Heidi provides the Secretariat function for the Administrative Justice Council. The Secretariat brings together key stakeholders in administrative justice to identify key problems, research areas of concern and influence government policy. Heidi started her career in the UK Civil Service where she worked in a minister’s private office before working in civil legal aid policy roles at the Ministry of Justice. She then joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as the Deputy Head of the China Team. She relocated to Ghana for a few years where she set up her own travel and tour business and provided tailor-made tours to Ghana and bus rental services. After moving back to the UK, Heidi joined the Greater London Authority where she supported the Chair of the London Assembly. She also became the Labour Group lead on Female Genital Mutilation where she worked with campaigners and stakeholders to help make London a ‘zero-cutting’ city. Heidi is currently the Secretary to the AJC. She also sits on the Independent Monitoring Board for the Military Corrective Training Centre in Colchester and is a school governor at Manningtree High School.
