Anne Killeen

Head of Casework and Support, Zacchaeus 2000 Trust

Anne Killeen is Head of Casework and Support Services and has worked with Zacchaeus 2000 Trust since 2015. Z2K deliver frontline services and legal advice to ensure people on low incomes can live with dignity as valued members of our society. We represent in excess of 500 clients per year in partnership with pro bono law firms with a success rate of 88 percent of cases. We use our casework to amplify our clients’ voices through our policy and campaigns, to create a social security system that works for us all.

Prior to this role Anne worked for 18 years as a housing lawyer under a legal aid contract in various law centres in London. She completed an MA in Housing Law and Policy and has maintained a keen interest in housing law. Anne uses her welfare benefit knowledge to defend possession proceeding and challenging intentionally decisions which in many cases is intrinsically linked to welfare reform. Anne is a member of Housing Practitioners Lawyers Association
