Secretariat

Heidi Bancroft is Secretary to the Administrative Justice Council. Heidi started her career in the UK Civil Service where she worked in a minister’s private office before working in civil legal aid policy roles at the Ministry of Justice. She then joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as the Deputy Head of the China Team. She relocated to Ghana for a few years where she set up her own travel and tour business and provided tailor-made tours to Ghana and bus rental services. After moving back to the UK, Heidi joined the Greater London Authority where she supported the Chair of the London Assembly. She also became the Labour Group lead on Female Genital Mutilation where she worked with campaigners and stakeholders to help make London a ‘zero-cutting’ city. Heidi also sits on the Independent Monitoring Board for the Military Corrective Training Centre in Colchester.

Sally Hunt provides secretariat assistance to the Administrative Justice Council. She also works for the JUSTICE Director and their Policy Team. Before joining the Secretariat, Sally was a self-employed health care professional; she then worked for a number of years for several charities, including Citizens Advice as a volunteer Assessor, and for a local Rape Crisis charity. She brings with her prior experience of working in the legal world – from areas as diverse as corporate, family and criminal law. Sally is a trustee for a charitable trust that provides grants to small charities.
